Up the Trees and back again
One of the conflicts that Tolkien used was when he goblins were chasing the dwarves up the trees and lit the trees on fire. I think Tolkien used this because I think he was just waiting for the right time to spring some big obstacle on to the dwarves to really hook the reader.I also think he did this to take an unexpected turn in the book. A book without action is a like staring at a blank wall. It was also a carry to get the reader to the next part of the mountain without boring the reader. If an author can really write he will be able to move you forward through a whole book with ease and understanding . This is so true. Tolkien propels us forward with chapters like this. So many of you chose this conflict. I can't wait till to see what everyone thought was the best part of this book. Mrs. Best
